Spencer Dinwiddie 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie is coming off a season that saw him post a career-high 16.8 points, but we did see his assists numbers take a hit from 6.6 a night in 2017-18 to just 4.6 a game last season. This had a lot to do with the breakout season that ball-dominant D'Angelo Russell put together and due to the rise of Caris Levert. It has been stated that he has been working on his three-point shooting this offseason and being more efficient at finishing at the rim. This will only benefit the combo guard as we can assume he may see a slight downtick in assists once again with an even more ball-dominant guard in Kyrie Irving joining the squad and a healthy LeVert. It is hard to see Dinwiddie provide his 16.8 points once again, but he has been doubted before in the past. Either way, he is worth a look in the later rounds as solid scorer with some makes from three.
