Skylar Thompson The "Next Man Up"
3 weeks agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson entered Thursday night's game near the end of the third quarter when Tua Tagovailoa left the game with a concussion. Thompson completed eight of his 14 passing attempts for 80 yards and one carry for four yards. While the team evaluates Tagovailoa further on Monday, head coach Mike McDaniel said that Thompson is the "next man up." The amount of time that Tagovailoa will have to miss is still to be determined, so we'll see how the offensive game plan might change accordingly. Thompson last appeared in seven games for the Dolphins in 2022 and he posted 534 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions on 60-for-105 throwing. The biggest fantasy value increase could be the ground game if Tagovailoa has to miss extended time.
