Sixto Sanchez Makes His Spring Debut On Monday
Sixto Sanchez made his spring debut in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Houston Astros. He got the start, going 1 2/3 innings while allowing no runs, two hits, and a walk. He didn't strike anyone out, but he induced three ground ball outs and reportedly hit 100 mph on the radar gun. Sanchez is expected to make his regular season debut sometime in mid-April, as the Marlins won't need a fifth starter until the third time through the rotation. Sanchez has elite upside, but will be on a strict innings limit this season and besides his late start, he'll also either finish up early or have starts skipped along the way.
