According to Josh Getzoff of the Pittsburgh Penguins, center Sidney Crosby (upper body) will not play on Friday evening against the New York Rangers. Crosby sustained this injury during their shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. Crosby was able to skate on his own during Thursday's morning skate but has not been cleared for action. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status leading up to Saturday's contest against the Philadelphia Flyers. Over his previous eight contests, Crosby has tallied 10 points (five goals, five helpers) with 20 shots on goal, 10 hits, and eight blocked shots. While sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Rickard Rakell to shift to the top center role and play alongside Bryan Rust and Anthony Beauvillier on the top unit.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
