According to Josh Getzoff of the Pittsburgh Penguins, center Sidney Crosby (upper body) was able to skate on his own during Thursday's practice. However, Crosby did not participate in line rushes. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to Friday's contest against the New York Rangers. Head coach Mike Sullivan said that the captain is "still being evaluated." Crosby sustained this injury during their shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday evening. Despite the injury, Crosby is still riding a five-game point streak. Over his previous eight contests, Crosby has tallied 10 points (five goals, five helpers) with 20 shots on goal and 10 hits. If Crosby can not play on Friday, Anthony Beauvillier will move up to the top line alongside Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
