Shota Imanaga Strikes Out Seven In Sunday’s Win
6 months agoChicago Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga got back on track in the team's 4-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon. After the rookie gave up eight earned runs (12 total runs) with 15 hits over his last two outings, Imanaga delivered a strong performance in his 12th start of the year. The left-hander gave up just two runs on five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts across 6 2/3 innings. That outing marked his seventh quality start of the season. The southpaw will carry a 1.96 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
