1 year agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (elbow) is aggressively throwing from 120 feet as he continues his rehab. The Angels are pleasantly surprised with how Ohtani's rehab is going and he is much closer to throwing off a mound than the Angels thought last week. Since the All-Star break, Ohtani is slashing .241/.281/.537 with four home runs, seven RBI, and seven runs scored. It is still unclear if he will be able to contribute as a pitcher again this season. Things are trending in the right direction, but with the Angels falling out of the playoff race they have no reason to rush Ohtani back to the mound.--Zach Feldman - RotoBaller
