Shohei Ohtani Scuffling As Angels Are Surging
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani will try and shake out of a 3-for-19 (.157) slump when the team takes on the Astros on Tuesday night. The Angels are on fire right now, but Ohtani has cooled off since the All-Star break. Ohtani is still slugging .514 in the month of July but is coming off a June performance that saw him slash .340/.379/.713 with one triple, six doubles and nine home runs. Ohtani's fantasy value is limited due to only being tagged as a designated hitter, but he is hitting in the middle of an offensive lineup that is surging right now. Ohtani is a solid play on Tuesday playing at home, where he is posting an OPS of .935 through 26 games this season.
