The San Jose Sharks increased their goaltending depth on Saturday by acquiring Adin Hill and a seventh-round draft pick from the Arizona Coyotes for goaltending prospect Josef Korenar and a second-round draft pick. With Arizona expected to protect veteran goalie Darcy Kuemper in the upcoming expansion draft, Hill would have been left unprotected and quite likely scooped up by the Seattle Kraken. He appeared in 19 games in 2020-21 and posted a 2.74 GAA with a solid .913 save percentage. This move allows the Sharks to protect Hill from the Kraken and expose the underperforming and overpriced Martin Jones who is unlikely to be selected.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
