Shane Bieber To Start Opening Day
4 years agoCleveland Indians manager Terry Francona said that reigning American League Cy Young winner Shane Bieber will start on Opening Day on April 1 against the Detroit Tigers. "That's probably not any big secret," Francona said. A consensus top-three fantasy starter after his lights-out 2020 campaign, Bieber will be a must-start in the season-opener against Detroit. The 25-year-old right-hander led the majors last year in ERA (1.63), wins (eight) and strikeouts (122), including a fantastic strikeout percentage of 41.1 percent. Bieber also fought COVID-19 last year but was still incredible, so fantasy managers shouldn't have any hesitation taking him at some point in the first round of drafts.
