Serge Ibaka Signing With Clippers
4 years agoFree agent big Serge Ibaka has agreed to a two-year, $19 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. Ostensibly the replacement for last year's Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell, who signed with the Lakers this week, Ibaka provides a solid upgrade at the four and five for the Clips. Likely to earn a starting role at one of the front court spots, Ibaka averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game last season for the Raptors, as well as 1.3 threes per game. He shot 51.2 percent from the floor. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both taking up offensive possessions, last year's numbers are likely the ceiling for Ibaka this season, but that's a pretty nice ceiling.
