8 months agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov coughed up four goals on 23 shots in Friday's 5-2 road loss against the Winnipeg Jets. After allowing two or fewer goals in each of his first eight appearances in the month of October, he has yielded 13 goals in three outings in November, all losses. Since flipping the calendar from October to November he is 0-3-0 with a 4.46 goals-against average in three outings, and he has lost five consecutive starts dating back to his last win Oct. 22 in Philadelphia. He still has a 2.38 GAA and .927 save percentage overall despite a 4-5-2 record. He remains a useful No. 2 backstop in most fantasy pools. He'll try to bounce back Sunday in Edmonton.--Daniel E.
