Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz pitched five innings, surrendering nine hits, two walks and six earned runs while striking out four in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Giants. The second inning is where the Giants inflicted damage to Foltynewicz, as all six runs given up by the Braves right-hander were allowed in the second inning. The 26-year-old starter threw four other shutout innings in the contest. Foltynewicz was having a good start to the season leading up to this one inning and should be safe to deploy in most matchups going forward.--RJ Stacey
