Scott Kingery Homers Again
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Scott Kingery hit his seventh home run of the season Tuesday night in a win against the Diamondbacks. It was Kingery's third homer in his past two games and a continuation of a longer hot streak. Since June 1, Kingery is making hard contact at a 61.5 percent rate and has a 1.020 OPS. It's still a small sample, but Kingery is finally showing signs of what made him a top prospect entering last season. There is still some playing time concerns as Philly could add another outfielder at some point, but if that happens Kingery could play third base over Maikel Franco. He's worth an add in almost every league as a hot hand play and could carry significant season-long value if this breakout is a genuine improvement in skill.
