Sandy Alcantara Shines On Opening Day
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara was excellent in a win against the Philadelphia Phillies on Opening Day. Alcantara threw 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one earned run on three hits and two walks while striking out seven. Alcantara was in control all evening, making just one mistake which Didi Gregorius knocked into the empty right field seats. Given what Alcantara did in his last few starts last season combined with tonight, we may be able to expect quite a lot out of the Marlins ace this season.
