Sam Burns Attempts To Keep Rolling At The Memorial
2 years agoSam Burns got it together at the Charles Schwab for the first time in several events. The American golfer broke into the top ten after missing two cuts badly. Burns put together a solid, final-round 68 on Sunday to push him into a tie for sixth. Being on the first page of the leaderboard had to feel good for Burns. After that disastrous 74-80 at the PGA Championship, any round under par had to be welcome. Burns will need his putter (ninth at strokes gained on tour) working often to make up for his approaches to the green that rank a mere 165th. The Memorial is relentless that way.
