Florida Panthers center Sam Bennett (undisclosed) won't be able to play Thursday against Washington. He was injured Tuesday versus St. Louis and will have to sit out his second game of the season. Bennett has been part of a well-working second line, which features two of the team's best scorers in Carter Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk, but he hasn't found a way to be a regular offensive threat himself, settling for only 14 goals and 35 points in 56 games. Eetu Luostarinen is expected to join the line for Thursday's action, while Colin White will take up the open spot in the lineup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
