The Dallas Stars inked free-agent defenseman Ryan Suter to a four-year, $14.6 million deal ($3.65 average annual value) on Wednesday. The 36-year-old, who recently had the final four years of his contract bought out by the Minnesota Wild, will join a formidable top-four defenseman group in Dallas and will most likely start the season playing on a pair alongside fellow defenseman Miro Heiskanen. While Suter is no longer the top-pair blueliner he was in his prime, he can still be considered as an attractive depth rearguard in most fantasy formats. The Minnesota native has collected 607 points (93 goals, 514 assists), a plus-105 rating and 1,465 blocked shots in 1,198 career games.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
