Ryan Preece did not have a good time qualifying on Saturday for Stewart-Haas Racing. He starts 29th for Sunday's race at Gateway. The No. 41 Ford could not muster any speed on the lap that mattered most. He was 0.63 seconds off from the pole (Kyle Busch) and worse, his 15-lap interval came in at 33.658 seconds. Starting off slow is one thing but getting even slower is another. Preece could have a tougher time trying to reclaim track position because of that fact. Stewart-Haas had three cars outside the top 20 last year. It may happen again Sunday.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
