Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Nets Special Hat Trick Against Kraken
Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins made a big impact in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Seattle Kraken, scoring his fourth career hat trick. He became the 11th player in Oilers history and only the third over the past 30 years to score a hat trick with an even-strength, power-play, and short-handed goal. Due to the absence of Connor McDavid (lower body) and Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed), Nugent-Hopkins worked as the top-line center. His impressive work resulted in his third three-point effort in four games. The scoring surge has greatly boosted Nugent-Hopkins' scoring total, as he has reached 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists) in 69 appearances.
