Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Ryan McDonagh registered two assists in Game 2, giving him three points for the series. McDonagh is playing on Tampa Bay’s second pairing and does not see time on the power play, but he has remained effective at even strength. His 23:49 of time on ice was the second most of any player in Game 2, and with the offense Tampa Bay has, if McDonagh continues to play that much, he should see his production continue, even without ideal deployment. His ceiling will be limited, as he has only recorded two shots on net in the series, and he does not get power-play time, but the steady rearguard is a relatively inexpensive option worth riding during his hot streak.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
