Ryan Gerard Has a Leaky Putter That Makes Him Hard to Trust at Rocket Classic
From a tee to green perspective, Ryan Gerard is playing well enough to warrant weekly starts almost without a second thought. He hasn't lost strokes in any of the three metrics that make up the tee to green statistic in his last six events. However, the putter has gone completely cold, averaging -0.746 strokes gained on the greens over that same span. That won't do him any good at the Detroit Golf Club, where putting is the leading correlation to success over the previous six years. His length off the tee also doesn't track what has worked here in the past. At $9,800 on FanDuel, Gerard is priced a bit high for what he's produced in recent weeks since his top 10 at the PGA Championship.
