Shane Greene Struggles Early But Records Save

Detroit Tigers closer Shane Greene made it tough on himself on Tuesday, committing a two-out throwing error and a wild pitch, but he stranded the tying run on third base as he got Michael Brantley to ground out. This marks Greene's eighth save in nine chances, and he has now lowered his ERA to 3.93 on the season. Despite blowing only one save chance, he's a weak closing option on a team that rarely finds themselves with a lead late in a game.
