Ross Chastain Has Aggressiveness Needed To Win At Atlanta
10 months agoEver since the "new" Atlanta Motor Speedway was unveiled at the start of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, we've learned a couple of things. One, Atlanta is now a drafting racetrack similar to Daytona and Talladega. And two, Atlanta is very narrow compared to Daytona and Talladega, which requires drivers to be very tactical with their moves to get through the field. That should play into Ross Chastain's hands in this weekend's Ambetter Health 400. In the four races at Atlanta since it was re-done, we've seen Chastain be a legitimate threat to win in both 2022 races, leading a combined 74 laps in those two events but coming up one position short, finishing second in each race. This weekend, Chastain qualified 21st for the Ambetter Health 400 and should be a great DFS pick if he can finish near his potential. Remember, this No. 1 Chevrolet almost won the Daytona 500 last week but wrecked while challenging for the lead.
