Rory McIlroy Looking To Bounce Back At Paris Olympics
5 months agoRory McIlroy let plenty of fantasy managers down two weeks ago at The Open Championship. The OWGR No. 3 carried over 25% ownership in most DraftKings contest, but he missed the cut in ugly fashion while also losing strokes ball-striking in both of his rounds. But it would be wise to forgive the Northern Ireland star for his poor showing at Troon, as his form prior to that event was among the best in the world. After winning the Zurich Classic with his Irish teammate Shane Lowry, McIlroy notched a victory the following week at the Wells Fargo Championship before rattling five additional finishes inside of the top-15, including his solo second place finish at the U.S. Open. He had a solid performance on this course during his European team's Ryder Cup victory in 2018, and he mentioned an Olympic gold medal could be his biggest achievement in the last 10 years in interviews this week. It would come as no surprise for the golf betting fandom to see McIlroy standing at the top of the podium on Sunday.
