Robby Snelling 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Outside Chance of Cracking the Opening Day Rotation
The Miami Marlins' left-handed pitching prospect Robby Snelling is MLB's No. 51 ranked MLB prospect and the Marlins' No. 3-ranked prospect, and is considered a deep sleeper for the 2026 fantasy baseball season. Snelling was on the verge of making his MLB debut last summer and has an outside chance to break camp with the MLB roster coming out of Spring Training. Unfortunately for Snelling, the Marlins signed Chris Paddack on February 12, which hinders the chance of him making the big league club right out of the gates. During the 2025 season, Snelling spent time at Double-A Pensacola, where he logged 72 1/3 innings with a 3.61 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP, and was moved up to Triple-A, where he took a massive step forward, throwing 63 2/3 innings. Snelling posted an impressive 1.27 ERA with a stellar 0.99 WHIP in Triple-A. The Marlins currently have a few questionable starters in their rotation after Sandy Alcantara and Eury Perez, and even if Snelling doesn't make the club out of Spring Training, it appears to be more of a matter of when, not if, he gets called up to the Marlins rotation. In leagues with deeper benches or the ability to stash prospects, Snelling profiles as one of the better options. RotoBaller ranks him as the SP107, while NFBC ADP has him 353.0 overall, making him one of the last picks of your draft, or at least someone to stash if you have the bandwidth.
