River Ryan Done For The Season
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers rookie starting pitcher River Ryan (forearm, elbow) is officially done for the season, according to Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts. Ryan was lifted from his start on Saturday evening due to forearm tightness and was scheduled to hit the 15-day injured list on Sunday. However, the top prospect will now be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Roberts expressed that the team is still figuring out the next course of action. This is tough news for the 25-year-old, as he performed quite well through his first 20 major-league innings, holding a 1.33 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 9:18 BB:K. Landon Knack will be a favorite to rejoin the starting rotation and is worth a look in all standard fantasy leagues.
