Trenton Thunder first baseman Rintaro Sasaki reached base safely in his first 18 games in the MLB Draft League before an 0-for-5 day at the plate with no walks on July 4. Before that game, the Japanese slugger was hitting .267 with a .929 OPS, but since then he's gone 1-for-13 with one walk and now has a .233 BA and .805 OPS. Still, the 19-year-old hit four home runs in 21 games, second-most of any player in the league, including a grand slam that came during the league's first no-hitter since its inception. The first half of the season, the only half Sasaki will partake in, concludes on Saturday, July 13.--Jarod RuppRead More News
