Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Is A Favorable Value Play For Richmond
4 months agoRicky Stenhouse Jr. will start 33rd in this week's Cup Series race, the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway. This is the lowest starting position ever for Stenhouse in his Cup career at Richmond and is the ninth time this year he will start 30th or worse. In 22 starts at Richmond in the Cup Series, Stenhouse has 12 top-20 finishes, with only one scored in the last six Cup events at the site. Through 22 races so far in 2024, Stenhouse has nine top-20 finishes, including four of the last six Cup events. In practice, Stenhouse ranked 34th in overall lap averages and 20th or better in the 15 and 30-consecutive lap average categories. Although Richmond is not one of his best tracks statistically, Stenhouse has equipment capable of competing for a top-20 finish. Combine that with his high Place Differential upside, and Stenhouse becomes a driver worth consideration in all DFS formats for this week's race.
