1 month agoThe Boston Red Sox agreed to a one-year deal with infielder Jose Peraza on Thursday, according to sources. His deal is believed to be for close to $3 million with incentives. His deal is The 25-year-old has slashed .274/.312/.374 with 28 home runs, 67 doubles, 154 RBI and 200 runs scored in 520 games in his five seasons in the big leagues (four with the Reds). He had a breakout year in 2018 with a .288/.326/.416 slash line, 14 homers, 85 runs and 58 RBI, but he fell back down to earth last season by hitting just .239 with six dingers, 33 RBI and seven stolen bases. In Boston, he's expected to serve in a super-utility role to begin the year.
