Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin received a fortunate bounce to open the scoring during Thursday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was his first goal since February 5. The young defenseman has impressed during his first season of NHL action. Dahlin has seven goals, 26 assists, and 12 power-play points through 60 games. He leads all rookie blueliners in assists, points, and power-play points. While there have been growing pains at times, Dahlin has stepped into his role as an NHL regular seamlessly.
