Following the 4 Nations break, Andersson went eight games without any points, but he has since found some form. Over his last six appearances, Andersson has averaged a point per game. However, it has been a tough campaign overall for Andersson, who has settled for 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) in 69 games while recording a minus-25 rating.

Carolina Hurricanes winger Seth Jarvis (shoulder) took a significant step on his road to returning to action on Thursday, shedding the yellow non-contact jersey at practice. "It's probably the biggest step I've had so far, getting out of that, being able to take contact now," Jarvis said. "Now it's just a matter of getting comfortable, making sure it's ready to go."
