Raquel Pennington suffered a split decision loss to Julianna Pena to lose her women's bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 307. Pennington was looking to defend her title for the first time, and after a competitive first round that could have gone either way, Pena controlled her in the second and third rounds with her grappling. But, in the fourth round, Pennington dropped Pena and started to take over. Pennington outstruck Pena in the fifth round and when the final bell rang, many thought she did enough to win. However, the judges scored the fight for Pena as Pennington fell to 16-9. The former champ will likely need to win a fight or two to get another title shot.--Cole Shelton
