7 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia continues to take advantage of the playing time he's given as he smacked three more hits on Monday. With David Dahl on the IL for a couple weeks, Tapia's getting a handful of starts, and he's doing a great job of reminding everyone what kind of player he is. Tapia has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, and he's scored runs in five of those as well. He's pretty much out of luck for playing time in the long run since Dahl is a better player, but working as a fourth outfielder in an outfield that contains hot-and-cold Ian Desmond and injury-prone Dahl is a great way to get quite a few at-bats. Tapia's got 349 plate appearances this year, so even if nothing changes next year, owners can expect him to play nearly half the team's games.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
