Rafael Devers Sitting Out First Game of Saturday's Doubleheader

Boston Red Sox sophomore third baseman Rafael Devers is on the bench for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles. Devers returned from the disabled list earlier in the week, so the Red Sox are trying to ease him back into regular playing time. Eduardo Nunez is starting at third base and batting seventh during the afternoon affair. Devers season has been a bit of a mixed bag. His .245 average is far lower than anticipated, but his 16 home runs and 55 RBI are solid power numbers for the 21-year-old. It seems likely that Devers will appear in the scorching-hot Red Sox lineup for the second half of the double-header.
