Steelers Defense Posts Strong Outing
5 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers defense held the Tennessee Titans to just eight points and 233 yards of offense in Sunday's preseason win. The front seven got the Steelers on the board first when Stephon Tuitt sacked Marcus Mariota in the end zone for a safety on the Titans second drive. Overall, the Steelers had no problem exploiting a weak Tennessee offensive line, recording seven sacks and eight tackles for loss. Defensive back Sean Davis and linebacker Bud Dupree had to leave the game with apparent injuries, but there was no official word on their diagnosis. While the Steelers typically do a solid job forcing turnovers, a Week 1 matchup with the Patriots makes the Steelers defense a tough sell for fantasy.
