Chicago Blackhawks forward Philipp Kurashev has been awarded a two-year, $4.5 million contract by a salary arbitrator. With the contract's average annual value coming in at $2.25 million, the 23-year-old is getting a nice bump in salary after playing on a $750,000 deal last season. Kurashev posted a career-high 25 points in 70 games in 2022-23. He has managed a total of 23 goals and 62 points in 191 career games, skating for only the Blackhawks so far. The former fourth-round draft pick has seen some time on Chicago's first line, but he's more of a middle-six forward for the team and Kurashev hasn't been productive enough to gain traction in fantasy hockey.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
