4 months agoEdmonton Oilers defenseman Philip Broberg has signed an offer sheet with the St. Louis Blues. He agreed on a two-year, $9.16 million deal. The Oilers now need to match the offer within seven days in order to retain Broberg, who is a restricted free agent following the expiration of his entry-level contract. Broberg has struggled to make an impact in Edmonton and featured just 12 times in the NHL last season. However, he was very productive in the AHL, with 38 points (five goals, 33 assists) collected in 49 outings, and played well in the Stanley Cup Playoffs during the team run to the Final.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
