Paul Goldschmidt To Anchor Cardinals Offense
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt will ride a stellar second half of his season into the team's playoff duel against the Braves on Thursday. After posting only a .769 OPS in the first half, Goldschmidt turned it around drastically after the All-Star break. Over his last 73 games, 'Goldy' slashed .267/.349/.538 with 16 doubles, 18 home runs and 60 runs batted in. He has driven in 24 runs over his last 27 games played and will be a top option among first baseman in fantasy for the first round of the playoffs.
