Paul George Sinks Six Triples During 35-Point Performance
1 year agoLos Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George scored a very efficient 35 points in this season's first Battle of Los Angeles on Wednesday against the Lakers, finishing a 130-125 overtime loss with 11-for-16 shooting. He was 6-for-9 from three-point range and 7-for-8 at the line. George's work at the starting stripe included three clutch free throws near the end of regulation, which pushed the game to overtime. He really came alive in the fourth quarter, adding 20 points to his tally. Unfortunately for George and the Clippers, he picked up his sixth foul early in overtime, and the team couldn't keep up with the Lakers anymore after the eight-time All-Star had to exit the game. George also made an impact defensively with two steals, and he recorded six rebounds with one assist in 37 minutes.
