Montreal Canadiens winger Patrik Laine played his part in Finland's 4-3 overtime victory against Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Saturday with two assists. He logged his first helper when Florida Panthers forward Anton Lundell put the Finns on the board midway through the first frame, and Laine's second assist came in a power-play situation as Carolina Hurricanes star Mikko Rantanen gave Finland a 2-1 lead with 14 seconds remaining in the period. These are Laine's first points in the tournament. This may help him get going again offensively, as Laine didn't record any points in Montreal's final eight games leading up to the 4 Nations Face-Off. He has totaled 12 goals and 18 points in 28 games during the 2024-25 NHL campaign.--Taavi Pailk
