Veteran forward Patrick Marleau kicked off the second half of the season in a big way with two goals as the San Jose Sharks defeated the Anaheim Ducks by a score of 4-2. He now has 10 goals through 47 games. Stefan Noesen scored the other two goals for the Sharks, which doubled his season output through 21 games. Evander Kane didn’t show up on the scoresheet but he fired five shots on net, laid three hits and sat in the penalty box for five minutes. Goaltender Aaron Dell was solid in net and stopped 26 of 28 shots. If he performs well, he could see more action in the second half of the season given Martin Jones’ struggles. Defenseman Erik Gudbranson did a little bit of everything for the Ducks in the losing effort. He had three shots, doled out three hits, took a major penalty and chipped in an assist. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
