CeeDee Lamb have yet to have "substantial talks" regarding a new contract. The wideout is slotted to make nearly $18 million on his fifth-year option. Training camp will be here soon, meaning a holdout could be on the horizon if a new deal isn't done. In the meantime, there's also a chance Lamb won't participate in any of the Cowboys' team activities in the next couple of months. With that said, the 25-year-old is a proven pass-catcher. He had a fantastic season in 2023-24, finishing with 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns off 135 catches, all career-highs. Although Lamb is expected to remain a first-round fantasy option, that may change if an agreement isn't reached shortly, especially if it means Lamb might miss a few games to begin the year.

Brandon Aiyuk remains without a long-term contract. While general manager John Lynch indicated that the team doesn't have plans to trade the wideout, the relationship between both sides doesn't appear to be moving in a positive direction. He has already been open about his desire to earn big money. However, in the most recent development in the situation, it was discovered that Aiyuk unfollowed the 49ers' account on the social media platform Instagram. This isn't the first time a player has done this kind of thing. Yet, it's still not an ideal scenario for a club hoping to make it back to the Super Bowl. Aiyuk is coming off his best season since entering the league in 2020, amassing 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns off 75 catches. With numbers like that, the Niners will need to pay in order to keep him on the roster for years to come. The 26-year-old is due to make just over $14 million during the 2024-25 campaign.

The 2018 seventh-round pick spent last season with the Cleveland Browns after one year with the Chicago Bears and four years with the Indianapolis Colts. The University of Houston product has racked up 98 tackles (68 solo), two forced fumbles, and 11 run stuffs in 85 career games. In all likelihood, he'll be utilized as a special teamer and reserve linebacker in new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen's new system.

4 weeks agoThe Cleveland Browns are trading offensive tackle Leroy Watson to the Tennessee Titans for the No. 227 overall pick (seventh round) in the 2024 NFL Draft. Watson spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers after being undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He saw his first NFL action last season with Cleveland, playing 55 offensive snaps in seven games. Tennessee needs depth on the offensive line, and legendary offensive line coach Bill Callahan left the Browns to join his son, Brian, in Tennessee for the 2024 campaign. That is the likely connection that led to this trade.

Ladd McConkey is visiting with the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He also recently met with the Cleveland Browns. McConkey didn't have the most prolific college career, but he posted 119 receptions for 1,687 yards and 14 touchdowns in 39 career games. He's also a dynamic weapon in the backfield, compiling 216 yards and four touchdowns on just 13 rushing attempts. After running a sub-4.4 forty-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine, he could be selected as early as the late first round. Atlanta could use more speed in the new-look
Kirk Cousins offense, so it will be interesting to see if they make a move to keep McConkey in the state of Georgia to begin his NFL career.

Equanimeous St. Brown has signed with the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov. Originally a sixth-round pick out of Notre Dame by the Green Bay Packers in 2018, St. Brown has been utilized as a depth receiver in his six NFL seasons. In 60 career games, the 27-year-old has hauled in 63 of his 110 targets for 928 yards and two touchdowns. He's added 80 yards as a runner. Based on his career trajectory, he's unlikely to make a fantasy impact in New Orleans this year. He can be safely ignored for now.

Kellen Mond, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team. The former Texas A&M Aggie was a third-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2021 NFL Draft after a strong college career, but he has not found his footing in the NFL. He has spent time with the Vikings, Browns, and Colts, but his last game action was in 2021. He completed just two passes for five yards. New Orleans has quarterbacks
Jake Haener and
Nathan Peterman on the roster, so it would be a surprise if Mond makes the team for the regular season.

Troy Franklin for a visit. Franklin is drawing a ton of interest after posting elite numbers during his final year at Oregon. He totaled 1,383 receiving yards with 14 touchdowns on 81 receptions. Franklin has already visited with the Browns, Jets, Panthers, and Patriots this offseason. The Bills are dangerously thin at wideout after losing their two top receivers. Franklin doesn't project as a superstar in the league, but could certainly make some noise in Buffalo, assuming they decide to draft him.

DeVonta Smith appears to be in the process of discussing a contract extension with the organization. The Eagles have already handed out two big extensions this offseason, so Smith could be next in line. The 25-year-old is entering his fourth season in the league after being drafted in the first-round by the Eagles in 2021. Smith has produced back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns. He has established himself as an elite wideout in the league and should see a hefty extension soon.

It's worth noting that Worthy has also done a visit with the Chicago Bears. The 20-year-old should be an explosive option for whichever team decides to draft him later this month. Rashee Rice has turned himself into the police following an arrest warrant being issued for his involvement in a multiple vehicle crash. Rice faces up to eight felony charges related to a collision in a street race. The young wideout owned both cars in the crash and was seen leaving the scene following the incident. There has been a $40,000 bond posted and more discipline is likely to come. There is a chance that Rice will be suspended by the Chiefs or the NFL, so missing some regular season action seems likely at this point. There should be more information on this situation as the summer rolls on.

Tom Brady stated on Thursday that he wouldn't rule out returning to the NFL late in a season if a team calls in an "emergency situation." 4 weeks agoThe Los Angeles Rams re-signed linebacker Troy Reeder to an undisclosed deal on Thursday. Reeder entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019 out of Delaware with the Rams and spent the first three years of his career in LA before joining the Chargers in 2022. In 17 regular-season games (six starts) for the Rams in 2023, he had 23 tackles (11 solo). The 29-year-old has mostly been a special-teams standout in his five years in the NFL and has accumulated 264 tackles (154 solo), five sacks, 11 tackles for loss, eight QB hits, two interceptions, nine passes defended and three forced fumbles in 83 games played (31 starts). Reeder will not be on the radar for fantasy managers in IDP leagues. On the defensive side, he'll merely be a rotational depth linebacker.

DeAndre Hopkins. "Treylon's potential is very high. First-round pick, we see all the talent. But he's going to get what he earns," offensive coordinator Nick Holz said. New head coach Brian Callahan also didn't mention Burks' name when discussing options for the slot. Burks' fantasy stock is obviously way down, and even if he stays healthy in 2024, he could struggle to produce consistently as the No. 3 with a young quarterback running the offense.
