Stefon Diggs can become a free agent after his 2024 campaign, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The organization wiped out the final three years of Diggs' contract and moved up $3.5 million in guarantees for next season into this year. He will earn a total of $22.52 million in guaranteed money in 2024. This move should add an extra incentive for Diggs to perform his best, and it will be interesting to see if the Texans can lock him up long-term next offseason. Diggs, who turns 31 next season, has accumulated at least 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns in each of his last six campaigns dating back to his time with the Minnesota Vikings.

The deal includes a $20 million signing bonus and $48 million in guarantees. The new contract puts Mailata only behind Laremy Tunsil, Trent Williams, and Andrew Thomas in average salary among NFL tackles. The 27-year-old was a seventh-round pick by the Eagles in 2018 after his rugby career in Europe. His transition to American football has been impressive, as he's blossomed into one of the league's best blind-side protectors. With future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce hanging up his cleats this offseason, it's a significant move for the Eagles to keep one of their keystone offensive linemen for the foreseeable future.

The 27-year-old spent the 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens after playing the previous three years with the Chicago Bears. He'll be a veteran depth option for the middle of Denver's offensive line in 2024. Mustipher entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame with the Bears. In his four seasons in the NFL, he has started 42 of the 52 contests that he's appeared in. Last year in Baltimore, Mustipher played in only nine regular-season games and started two of them.

4 weeks agoThe New Orleans Saints are signing former Washington Commanders linebacker and special teamer Khaleke Hudson to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to a source. Before deciding to sign with New Orleans, Hudson visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers recently. The 26-year-old was originally a fifth-round selection (162nd overall) by the Commanders in 2020 out of Michigan. In his first four years in the NFL in D.C., Hudson tallied 108 tackles (60 solo), one sack, seven tackles for loss and five QB hits in 58 games played (12 starts). He had a career-high 74 tackles (44 solo), his first career sack and five tackles for loss in 17 games (eight starts) for Washington in 2023. Hudson will most likely serve in a special teams role for the Saints in 2024 and can be avoided in IDP fantasy formats.

Maddox will now return to the Eagles for his seventh season in 2024 after the team originally drafted him in 2018 in the fourth round (125th overall) out of Pittsburgh. The 28-year-old veteran played in only four games for the Eagles in 2023 due to a torn pectoral muscle, and he's played a total of 13 regular-season games in the last two seasons due to injuries. Maddox has a total of 250 tackles (191 solo), three sacks, 13 tackles for loss, eight QB hits, four interceptions, 31 passes defended, eight forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 64 career games (38 starts). When healthy, he'll give the team a veteran presence at nickel corner.

Pat Freiermuth said on the Around the 412 podcast on Wednesday that he wants "to be in Pittsburgh for the rest of my career" as he heads into the final year of his rookie contract in 2024. He missed five games in 2023 due to a hamstring injury, but overall his numbers declined from the previous two seasons. Subpar quarterback play didn't help, and the 25-year-old former second-round pick in 2021 out of Penn State caught a career-low 32 passes for 308 yards and only two touchdowns in 12 regular season games (nine starts). In new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith's offense, Freiermuth could have a bounce-back campaign in 2024 and will be a nice sleeper target in fantasy drafts this fall.

Deshaun Watson (shoulder) said that he'll be ready for Week 1 of the 2024 regular season after having shoulder surgery last year. Watson also said recently that he's "in a great spot" and has "plenty of time to ramp up the throwing sessions" this offseason after having surgery on Nov. 21 to fix a displaced glenoid fracture in his right shoulder. The 28-year-old probably won't do everything during offseason workouts this spring, but he should be ready to go in full this summer at training camp. Watson has only played in 12 games over the last three seasons due to injury and suspension, but he remains the Browns' starter under center and still has the talent to be a midrange QB1 with the weapons he has around him in Cleveland.

Vildor will return to Detroit after spending the 2023 season with the Lions and Tennessee Titans. In just seven games (two starts) between the two teams, he had 11 tackles (10 solo) and a forced fumble. Vildor also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles last year but only played in NFL games in Detroit and Tennessee. The 26-year-old was originally a fifth-round pick (163rd overall) by the Chicago Bears in 2020 out of Georgia Southern. Vildor spent the first three years of his NFL career in Chicago and has a total of 108 tackles (77 solo), one sack, five tackles for loss, one interception, 12 passes defensed and a forced fumble in 51 games (24 starts) over four years in the league. It remains to be seen if Vildor will be a starter in 2024 after becoming a starter in Week 17 last year.

Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, but they could give Williams another weapon and take Odunze if he's on the board with their second top-10 pick at No. 9. The Giants have the sixth overall pick, while the Jets hold the No. 10 selection. The 21-year-old pass-catcher has elite speed and can also excel deep down the field on contested catches, and if he lands in the right situation, he could be an every-week fantasy starter in Year 1 in 2024. Odunze was ultra productive in 2023 for the Huskies, recording 1,640 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

The 31-year-old spent most of last season with the San Francisco 49ers after being released by the Denver Broncos early in the 2023 campaign, and he now finds a new home in Tampa Bay. Overall, the 2015 second-round pick has accumulated 106 tackles (78 solo), 22 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, three pass deflections, and 11.5 run stuffs in 60 career games with the 49ers, Broncos, and Cowboys. He has not lived up to his hype as a prospect, but he can be utilized as a solid rotational pass rusher. The Buccaneers lost former All-Pro rusher Shaq Barrett this offseason, so Gregory will help fill his role on the edge.

4 weeks agoThe Dallas Cowboys are re-signing veteran offensive lineman Chuma Edoga to a one-year deal, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. The 26-year-old was originally selected by the New York Jets in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of USC, and he spent three seasons with the team before one year with the Atlanta Falcons. Last year was his first season in Dallas, and he made six starts for one of the best offenses in the NFL. Edoga has the ability to play tackle or guard, so the team will likely need him to play a role in the offense after the departure of All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith and Pro Bowl center Tyler Biadasz. Overall, he has 43 games of NFL experience, including 19 starts.
