4 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (rest) will not play against the Washington Wizards on Sunday. The team will have the 26-year-old rest with the playoffs coming up. Boston will have all of its top six guys out, meaning many open minutes for the rest of the crew. Sam Hauser and Oshae Brissett will be the players benefiting from Tatum's absence.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (adductor) will not play in Sunday's contest versus the Miami Heat. He will be sidelined during the final regular season game because of a left adductor strain. With Toronto's season coming to a close, they will turn their attention to building a better roster for next season, which Quickley will likely be a major part of. The 24-year-old guard was traded from the New York Knicks to the Raptors in the middle of the season, and his production boomed. He shined as a starter, averaging more than 18 points and dishing out over six assists per game.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) won't play in Sunday's contest against the 76ers. He's missed plenty of time throughout the 2023-24 campaign because of a hip issue, so his absence for the regular-season finale doesn't surprise anyone. But by all accounts, the 2017 No. 9 overall pick had a decent season, averaging 6.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals. Dennis Schroder (Achilles) also won't play, meaning Jacob Gilyard could get the start. However, he struggled in Friday's loss to the Knicks, which won't increase his DFS stock on Sunday.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (rest) will miss Sunday's season finale against the Washington Wizards. The Celtics are resting several key players to keep them fresh for the playoffs, which are just around the corner. Xavier Tillman Sr. and Luke Kornet could capitalize on the absence of key frontcourt players. With the stage set for them to perform well, they have a prime opportunity to excel against Washington, one of the worst teams in the NBA.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Schroder (Achilles) won't play on Sunday versus the 76ers. The journeyman has played well since his trade to Brooklyn ahead of the deadline, averaging 14.6 points and 6.0 assists while shooting a career-high 41.2% from behind the arc. Schroder wants to remain a Net, so this may not be his final game with the team. But with Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) also sidelined for the regular season-finale, Jacob Gilyard may draw another start. However, Lonnie Walker IV, who had 15 points in Friday's loss to the New York Knicks, should be the guy to target for DFS purposes.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (toe) won't play on Sunday against Philadelphia. The Nets have one game left on their schedule before calling it a year. However, Johnson won't be on the floor to close out the 2023-24 campaign, which isn't surprising to anyone. Along with Johnson, the Nets won't have Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) and Day'Ron Sharpe (wrist) near the basket. As a result, Noah Clowney, Jalen Wilson, and Trendon Watford could remain heavily involved, especially since Nicolas Claxton might see fewer minutes than usual throughout a meaningless contest for Brooklyn.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's final regular season game against the Charlotte Hornets. He is dealing with a low back contusion, and the Cavaliers will likely take the cautious approach and let him rest. Both Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Caris LeVert (knee) will be sidelined in this game, as Cleveland is making sure their backcourt is healthy for the playoffs. Garland is a critical piece of the rotation, and he will need to play at a high level if the Cavaliers wish to make a deep postseason run this year.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard Derrick White (ankle) is out for Sunday's season finale with the Washington Wizards. Fantasy managers should expect the 29-year-old to be available for the playoffs. The entire Celtics starting five is unavailable, plus Al Horford (toe) has been ruled out. Payton Pritchard will run the backcourt for now, while Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk will see more time on the court.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (knee) will not play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Charlotte Hornets. He is listed as out because of left knee injury management. The Cavaliers are playing it safe with their star guard and are turning their attention toward the playoffs. Caris LeVert (knee) will also be sidelined, while Darius Garland (back) is listed as doubtful. Mitchell closes the 2023-2024 regular season with averages of 26.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. He is expected to lead the Cleveland when the postseason begins, and if they plan to advance through multiple rounds of the Eastern Conference, they will need him to perform at his best.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Caris LeVert (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He will sit out this contest because of left knee soreness. With the playoffs approaching, Cleveland is prioritizing their team's health. Donovan Mitchell (knee) will also be sidelined, while Darius Garland (back) is considered doubtful, so it remains to be seen who will lead the backcourt in the regular season finale. Once the playoffs begin, LeVert will be relied upon as a crucial piece of the Cavaliers' rotation and will need to play well if they hope to make a deep postseason run.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Detroit Pistons due to right ankle injury management. As the Spurs sit near the bottom of the Western Conference standings, they will let their young superstar rest. The prized rookie will end his season on a high note after collecting 34 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists in a thrilling victory over the defending champion Denver Nuggets on Friday. Wembanyama is the heavy favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award after a sensational first NBA season. Zach Collins (thumb) is questionable to play, and if he ends up sitting out, too, Sandro Mamukelashvili will likely see as many minutes as he can handle in the season finale.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) is out for Sunday's season finale against the Denver Nuggets. This will be his sixth straight game on the sidelines because of a left knee injury. The Grizzlies have been ravaged by injuries all season long, and they will continue to rely on a group of young players for their final game of the season. Fantasy managers can expect GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. to lead the backcourt.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) is set to miss the final regular season game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday. This will be the eighth consecutive game he will be sidelined because of right knee inflammation. The injury concerns continue for Leonard, and it is a mystery if he will be able to play in the first round of the playoffs. The Clippers clinched the fourth seed in the Western Conference and have nothing to play for in Sunday's contest, so they very well could rest other players or limit the minutes of their starters. P.J. Tucker, Amir Coffey, and Brandon Boston Jr. are all potential options to see a heavier workload as the regular season comes to an end.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Vince Williams Jr. (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale with the Nuggets. Williams Jr. will miss his 17th consecutive game with tendonitis in his left patellar tendon. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jordan Goodwin could be solid DFS options and will see many extra minutes with most of the Grizzlies roster sitting out Sunday.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
4 weeks agoLos Angeles Clippers guard James Harden (foot) is considered questionable for Sunday's contest against the Houston Rockets because of right foot inflammation. It would not be surprising to see the Clippers play it safe and rest their veteran guard, as Los Angeles is already locked into the fourth seed in the Western Conference. Even if Harden does suit up, his playing time might be limited. The 34-year-old took the court on Friday against the Utah Jazz but ended up seeing 10 minutes of action. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Sunday to get final confirmation on Harden's playing status.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
