3 hours agoJosh Berry figured prominently into the first two stages at Charlotte. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver even taking five stage points along the way. The No. 4 Ford car even led seven laps of the 249. However, as the laps ticked down during the third stage (which became the final), Berry began to start to lose track position. He was down to tenth before the rain and storms came. Thankfully, the race never continued and Berry was able to secure his second Top 10 result of 2024. It was his second race where he accumulated 30 or more points as Berry starts to gain momentum.

3 hours agoDenny Hamlin may have not led a lap on Sunday. However, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver was fast enough to squeeze out a fifth-place result. The rain and thunderstorms put a damper on the race. Ultimately, NASCAR called the Coca-Cola 600 at 249 laps. Hamlin qualified 11th but had one of the faster times in early qualifying. Also, the No. 11 car racked up seven stage points from Stage 2. Gateway could be another good track for Hamlin who finished second there in 2023 after starting third.

22 hours agoThe Indianapolis 500 is currently under rain delay, but it looks likely that the race will get started around 4:30 pm ET. It has been announced that NASCAR Cup Series star, Kyle Larson, will be staying in Indianapolis to run the Indianapolis 500 and will likely miss the start of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Justin Allgaier has been on standby to fill in just in case this scenario happened. Do not pick Kyle Larson in DFS this weekend, as he will not earn any points for the race if he does not start it.

23 hours agoWilliam Byron should be a contender in this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Hendrick Motorsports driver looked very fast in practice here on Saturday before spinning out, and he didn't get any damage when he wrecked so that's a good thing. Byron also went on to qualify second, so he has a great starting position to work with. As far as DFS potential goes, Byron is a legitimate contender for the win and is also a strong candidate to lead a bunch of laps on Sunday evening. At just $10,000 on DraftKings, he looks to be one of the value plays on the slate when it comes to the high-priced drivers. Be sure not to overlook William Byron in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 race.

23 hours agoWe're 13 races into the 2024 season and Martin Truex Jr is still winless despite being one of the fastest cars all year long. Will that change this weekend at Charlotte? Nighttime is when Truex tends to be the fastest, and the ending of this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 race will be at night. Truex qualified fourth for the big race so he definitely has a competitive advantage heading in. As far as DraftKings potential goes, Truex is moderately priced this weekend at just $9,500 and has good dominator upside. If he leads a good chunk of laps and finishes where he should (top five), he's definitely going to be worth the DFS price tag. In this Next Gen car, Truex has the third-best average running position of all drivers at Charlotte, Kansas, and Las Vegas.

23 hours agoDenny Hamlin should be a contender for the win at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has been the fastest on the 1.5-mile intermediates this season, walking away with an eighth-place finish at Las Vegas and a fifth-place finish at Kansas. At Charlotte specifically, Hamlin won from the pole here back in 2022 and was a legitimate top-five contender last season before his run-in with Chase Elliott, relegating Hamlin to a 35th-place finish. Most sportsbooks have Hamlin firmly as the second-favorite behind Kyle Larson heading into the Coca-Cola 600 race. In DraftKings, Denny is priced at $10,700 and is projected to be one of the highest-scoring drivers on the slate. Make sure you have a good dose of Hamlin exposure on Sunday, as his 11th-place starting spot offers Place Differential upside.

He qualified back in 16th for this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which gives the defending series Champion good Place Differential upside. Blaney is also the defending winner of this race, which adds to his dominator potential on Sunday if he can find his way to the lead. In practice this weekend, the No. 12 Ford was one of the fastest on the long runs, ending up with the best 10-, 15-, and 20-lap average among Group A drivers. 1 day agoKyle Busch will likely be a popular DFS pick for this evening's Coca-Cola 600, and for good reason. Rowdy has finished sixth or better in six of his last seven starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the No. 8 Chevrolet has been one of the fastest on the low-wear, 1.5-mile tracks this season. Additionally, over the last seven races at Charlotte, Kansas, and Las Vegas, Busch has the sixth-best average running position. This weekend, he qualified 15th for the big race but should be much faster than that once the green flag waves. Busch ranked fourth-fastest in ten-lap average during practice on Saturday, and with his Place Differential potential as well as his high finishing upside, Rowdy is a great DFS value play this weekend being priced at just $8,000 on DraftKings.

1 day agoAlex Bowman, who currently sits ninth in the NASCAR playoff standings, will start sixth in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Entering this weekend, Bowman has been on a bit of a hot streak as he has four consecutive top-10 finishes and eight total for the season. Despite not having a win since 2022, the Hendrick Motorsports star has been a model of consistency throughout 2024, averaging 12.7 for his finish, which ties him with Denny Hamlin for the sixth-best average in the Cup Series. In addition to the consistency he has shown, Bowman has also been strong at Charlotte in the Next Gen car averaging 45.55 DraftKings points over the last two races at this track. Given that his projected ownership is just 6% for this race and considering how reliable he has been both this season and on this track, Alex Bowman looks like a sneaky contrarian play in DFS this weekend.
