Otto Porter Scores 12 Points In Loss
6 years agoWashington Wizards small forward Otto Porter was efficient but didn’t do all that much on Wednesday night. He scored just 12 points, but did shoot 5-for-9 from the field and added two three-pointers, two steals, one assist and one rebound in 24 minutes. The Golden State Warriors ran away with this game, so all of the Wizards key players played fewer minutes than usual. Porter has been sneaky good in fantasy the last few seasons. Bringing to the table a unique combination of high field-goal percentage, rebounds, steals, three’s, and extremely low turnovers. However, this year has been slightly disappointing for Porter. Even though he’s giving top-50 value, it appears that he’ll never take that next step as an offensive player. With Bradley Beal and John Wall soaking up touches, Porter will always have his ceiling capped. Nonetheless, this isn't a bad thing, as a player like Porter is extremely valuable on the right team. Porter will get a chance to put up better numbers on Friday when he takes on a Sacramento Kings team that ranks 27th in points allowed per game this season.
