Otto Lopez Activated From Paternity List
6 months agoMiami Marlins second baseman Otto Lopez was activated from the paternity list on the team's off day on Monday. Lopez was placed on the paternity list on June 7, as he welcomed a new baby into the world. After spending the maximum three days away from the team, he will rejoin the Marlins ahead of their three-game set against the New York Mets beginning on Tuesday. The 25-year-old has been a surprise bat in Miami's lineup this season and currently owns a .295 batting average with three home runs and 18 RBI. He also has a current six-game hitting streak, which he'll try to extend on Tuesday. The young infielder should resume his everyday role at second base for the Marlins.
