Oliver Ekman-Larsson Expected To Return For Postseason
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson (upper body) will remain on the shelf for Tuesday's encounter with the Buffalo Sabres but is expected to be ready to rejoin the lineup when the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs begin. Ekman-Larsson, a Stanley Cup winner from last year with the Florida Panthers, made 77 appearances with the Maple Leafs before suffering a late-season injury blow. He has recorded 29 points (four goals, 25 assists), 118 shots, 83 blocks, and 108 hits with a plus-14 rating. Jake McCabe (upper body) is also currently absent from the Maple Leafs defense, providing Dakota Mermis and Philippe Myers with playing opportunities.
