Noel Cuevas Goes 3-for-4 In Chicago
7 years agoIn what could be one of his last starts for a while, Colorado Rockies rookie outfielder Noel Cuevas took advantage of the opportunity and knocked three singles into play. Unfortunately, he would later get picked off second in one of those instances, but he at least got to set a personal record for most hits in a game in his young career. Carlos Gonzalez is expected to take over for Cuevas on Tuesday, and Cuevas will likely operate as the team’s fifth outfielder for the time being. It wouldn’t be surprising if the rookie gets sent back down to Triple-A sometime in the near future since the outfield is already stacked with CarGo, Charlie Blackmon, Gerardo Parra, and David Dahl.
